Dandy & Randy: An Old School Retro Game Released

If you are into games from the 1980’s, would like to see how gamers from back then got into gaming, or just simply like to go back to the good old days when there were only 2D video games. There’s a new game and gaming company just for you.

Asteristic Game Studios just released their second new game title called Dandy & Randy, who are two of the worst archaeologists to ever grace the Earth.  This game will take you back to the good old 2D gaming days. It’s a basic game mixed with Zelda and Super Mario Bros 2. You will pick up vegetables and toss them to your enemies, collect keys to unlock doors, and walk up, down, left, and right of the screen to get to the next screen.

Asteristic released the game with a price tag of $8.99. It’s a PC game available for Windows, and according to Asteristic Game Studios, you will be able to grab this game with a 10% discount starting next week on Steam! Just like any other game, this game has also a specific system minimum requirement. Your PC system must have a minimum of:

  • OS:Windows8
  • Processor:IntelCore i3
  • Memory:4GB RAM
  • Graphics:IntelHD 4000 or better
  • DirectX:Version9.0c
  • Storage:250MB available space

There’s also a scene, where you can take over the sky. This also reminds me of the game called Snoopy and the Red Baron. Except that it has a lot better graphics then when Snoopy and Red Baron game came out in 1983 on the Atari console.

The left, right, up, and down makes this game very simple and easy to play the game. Just like using a controller with D-Pad, except you’ll be using the keyboard. Unless if you have the handy Xbox One controller to maneuver through the map with ease.

So if you’re ready to go back into time for nostalgia purposes, or wish to see how games were played back in the 1980’s, grab yourself Ghostbusters Hi-C (if you can find yourself one) and take yourself back in time with the Dandy & Randy game.
